The Best Tortilla Española
We’ve been fortunate to try the tortilla española all along The Way. One of the treats of walking the Camino Inglés would be the opportunity to try the Tortilla de Betanzos. Without question, when asked where we should try one, the Casa Miranda was the overwhelming recommendation and it didn’t disappoint. Although a tiny café/bar just off the main plaza, the meal we had there was one of the most memorable along the Inglés. The tortilla’s liquid center is what differentiates it from so many of the others. That evening, and we had to wait until 8:30 pm for the restaurant to open (late for tired pilgrims), we enjoyed the tortilla along with a plate of pimientos de Padrón and a most tasty chocos (cuttlefish) with fries. ¡Buen provecho!
