Pimientos de Padrón
One of my favorites treats with any meal in Spain is a nice place of just fried Pimientos de Padrón. Although a specialty of Galicia, we’ve been able to find them in other regions of Spain as well. The Padrón pepper is quite mild (and inexpensive). One could eat a plate of these as a tapas or along with other dishes. Quickly fried with then only sea salt added to finish them, they are for me what often comes to mind when I think of a quintessential Spanish dish that I want to make sure I order every time that I have the opportunity.
