Iconic Locations: Puente la Reina
A day’s walk out of Pamplona (about 24 km), we find ourselves in the lovely town of Puente la Reina. Right on the outskirts of town, we find ourselves at the most comfortable Albergue Jakue Hostel. Both the dinner and breakfast buffets were top shelf.
As one leaves town to the west, it time to cross the iconic medieval bridge that’s the namesake of this village. The Puente La Reina dating to the 11th century was built by the queen of King Sancho the Great to assist pilgrims crossing the River Arga.
