A Most Interesting Menu Choice
It was late when we arrived in Ferrol, but after checking into our hotel we knew we needed some food. Checking TripAdvisor it looked as though the small, top rated restaurant/bar O’Galo was very close by. Although it was late by our dining standards, the restaurant was just coming to life. We had been looking forward to the Galician seafood and O’Galo didn’t disappoint. Feeling particularly adventurous this evening before our first day on the Inglés, I very much wanted to try the chocos or cuttlefish. Delish! Very much like squid or calamari except served whole. I was actually surprised by its size. Pan fried and served with fries, we also indulged in a plate of pimientos de Padrón and washed it down with some excellent local red wine. Now, we were ready for the camino.
